Bewitching Beauty Braids

In this podcast episode, join me as I venture into the world of video and sit down with the owners of Bewitching Beauty Events, a company that specializes in creating stunning hair designs using extensions. I recently had the opportunity to have my hair braided with extensions in a unique style at the Summer Camp Music Festival, and it was truly an unforgettable experience. From the intricate braiding techniques to the gorgeous extensions, the end result was a braided look that was both elegant and edgy. In this episode, we discuss the art of hair braiding with extensions and share our festival adventures over the years.

The Genesis of Bewitching Beauty Events

Amy Shell, one of the co-founders of Bewitching Beauty Events, shares how the idea for the company came to be. While attending cosmetology school, Amy attended a music festival and realized that there was a missing opportunity for hair booths at such events. Recognizing that festival-goers are already spending money on various aspects of the festival, Amy saw the potential for offering unique festival looks that would keep attendees’ hair stylish and out of the way. This idea remained with her as she worked alongside Jacquilynn Proctor, and eventually, they decided to turn their passion for hair and makeup into a business.

The Power of Partnership

Amy explains how Jacquilynn (Jaci) Proctor became her business partner. Originally intending to hire Jaci as a stylist, Amy was pleasantly surprised when Jaci expressed her interest in becoming a partner and going in 50/50. Together, they set up their first event at the Pickin’ On Picnic music festival in St. Clair, MO, and the response exceeded their expectations. Festival-goers were thrilled to have the option of hair braiding at a music festival and spread the word about Bewitching Beauty Events throughout the crowd. This successful start paved the way for a promising 2022 season.

Isn’t Life About Comedic Timing or Just Regular Timing : Mary Jo Byrd and Billie Jo Gillispie

I went on a my 1st comedy tour to Arizona and New Mexico, and I was expecting some hot audiences. But I wasn’t prepared for just how hot it would be. I mean, I’ve never seen so many cacti sweating before! Also it seems to be the land of giant “eggplant” looking cacti, just growing a muck in the national parks down there. Mary Jo and Billie Jo have been killing it in the Denver and Albuquerque comedy scene for around a decade! Both come from very unique backgrounds but I had so much fun on my last tour . It only felt appropriate to have some comedian veterans such as themselves on the show ; especially female comedians because we’re a fewer and farther bunch to locate in the scene. Albuquerque, outside of Breaking Bad Tours, has a thriving comedy scene, especially at Dry Heat Comedy Club. If you haven’t checked out Dry Heat and you’re in Albuquerque , what are you even doing? The music scene has a few up and coming bands definitely worthy of checking out like Dust City Opera and Red Light Camera. If you’re Denver based , Billie Jo has a psychedelic comedy show coming up in May, with a killer line-up , you don’t want to miss! Be sure to check these ladies out , there dope comedians and and people!

Jamming the Gems with an Introvert

Summary

The spacecast went to the 15th annual Gem and Jam this year and it was so fun! We drove directly to Tucson from Denver in the middle of the night to save money on hotels, totally don’t recommend if you want to see a specific band day 1 ! I got a first official press pass where I could bring my camera , boy did i fall in love with a back up career plan! If you want to make the trip for gems specifically , do your research we ended up at a wholesalers tent and didn’t want to spend $200 on some gems or minerals but that’s because we were balling on a budget! Don’t worry there are gems and mineral at the fairgrounds too! I was hoping to show if you’re an introvert wanting to go to a festival but maybe its overwhelming or maybe its impossible to coordinate with your friends to go with that you. You can 100% survive , most festivals bring out the excitement of seeing really good music , dressing to whatever vibe you feel comfortable with , so all the judgements of the outside world don’t really seem to matter when you’re at a good festival ! Gem and Jam delivers all the elements of really well run festival and I cant wait to go back! — This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app

GRIZCONSCIN :Extroverted Addition

A trial by error episode if you will! I brought the home b$ to her first festival ,Triple Rainbow produced by GRIZ. It was a killer line-up ; maybe one of the biggest reasons I jumped on tickets while it was a freshly announced festival ! Alpine Valley wasn’t ready , a little bit more intensely then Clozee’s Voyage tour in WY review by that one old hateful person. Those who saw it know what I’m talking about . Alpine Valley had local police there that were issuing citations left and right and Grant being the sweet famous angel that he is stepped in when he saw a wrong done to his fans! I don’t know of too many artists out there having the backs of their loyal fan base to that extent. b$ is far from over , just schedule conflicts and generally stoner like behavior just get in the way sometimes !
